Cousin Eddie gives Daddy a Father's Day gift

Well...we went back to Lawrence this weekend with every intention of picking up a few necessities that were inadvertently left behind a couple of weeks ago. Problem....packing up a baby, a dog, and two adults along with all of their travel items fills up a truck...no room to pick much up! Oh well...we got to see some friends. We miss you all so much!!! AND...Aila got to go to her first birthday party! Thanks for getting another year older, Ryan! That baby girl of yours is gorgeous!!!



I wasn't able to post this weekend because we have no connection to the techno world intact at the house! No satellite OR internet! Dave actually had to buy a newspaper...what is this world coming to!?!?!?! I actually thought it might be nice to be free of television and computers for a little while. We ended up watching an episode of The Office on the computer before we went to bed! We were really roughing it.



Aila went swimming today for the first time!!! It was so adorable. She didn't act like she loved it, but she certainly didn't act like she hated it. She let me hold of on her tummy in the water. I think she's going to be a junior "pool cat". (that's what my brother...who never called me names by the way...called me when I was younger...he might still call me that, I guess!)



All in all, Father's Day was great. He is doing such a wonderful job with Aila. (We didn't get the sun hat off for some reason! Oh well...makes for funny photos! ;0)
